Manufacturing Engineer I

Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager, this position will be responsible for the continuous improvement of our safety, quality, delivery, and cost by eliminating waste from our production processes, launching new products/processes into operations, and educating and empowering our production staff.

As a Manufacturing Engineer I you will:

  • Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting operator observations.
  • Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
  • Participate in design reviews to provide feedback on DFMEA, PFMEA, and other assembly considerations
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished- product and process capabilities, establishing standards, and confirming manufacturing processes.
  • Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs, reviewing production schedules, and estimating future requirements.
  • Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Complete design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related Engineering field
  • Has 1-2 years experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Is computer proficient; confident with data analysis programs
  • Has problem-solving skills with experience using root cause analysis techniques

Ideally you will also have experience with:

  • Six Sigma, Red X, or other problem-solving certification
  • Implementing lean manufacturing in an organization
  • CAD experience

What we offer you:

Typical pay is $62,000 – 80,500 annually.

Please note the pay information shown above is a general guideline. Pay is based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications.

This position is eligible for participation in our Quarterly Incentive Pay Program
