Accounts Payable Lead

Accounts Payable Lead

Reporting to the Plant Controller, the Accounts Payable Lead oversees the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Payable processes and team

As an Accounts Payable Lead you will:

  • Manage and support all accounts payable duties and responsibilities
  • Review, match, code invoices and check requests using Canon cloud based automated software
  • Manage vendor payments by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying Federal ID numbers; scheduling and processing checks, wires, ACH and SUA payments
  • Resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies, including credits for non-conforming returns
  • Manage online banking activities, including setting up payment templates, initiating payments and transfers when required
  • Prepare and file all monthly, quarterly, and annual state and use tax and GST returns
  • Manage, assign and audit the work of the A/P Coordinators; formally evaluate performance of direct reports against their job requirements and performance goals during annual and semi-annual performance reviews
  • Audit and process employee expense reports through Concur web-based portal
  • Serve as System Administrator and internal point of contact for Therefore / Canon AP Automation software and process
  • Maintain approval levels and routings within cloud based Therefore
  • Maintain PO requisition approval workflow within ERP system
  • Assist with month end close and provide supporting documentation for year-end audit
  • Prepare mailing or other distribution of payments as required
  • Correspond with vendors as necessary and respond to inquiries
  • Lead annual preparation and filing of annual form 1099’s
  • Assist the Controller with additional projects and ad hoc reports as needed

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has 5+ years’ experience, preferably in a high-volume international manufacturing
  • Has direct supervisory experience
  • Holds a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience and skill development
  • Possesses proficiency in MS Office Suite, including intermediate to expert Excel skills and exposure to working with large amounts of data
  • Has an ability to multitask and prioritize a high volume of requests
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Has excellent time management, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Is a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills and high attention to detail

It is preferred if you also have:

  • Experience with JD Edwards or other major ERP business system
  • Manufacturing Experience
  • An associate degree in accounting

The physical demands / working conditions of the role are:

  • General Office Environment, PC use
  • Light Lifting (occasional 25 lbs. or less)
  • Sitting - frequent
  • Stooping – occasional
  • Prolonged computer usage

What we offer you:

Typical pay is $62,000 – 80,500 annually.

Please note the pay information shown above is a general guideline. Pay is based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications.

This position is eligible for participation in our Quarterly Incentive Pay Program
